The Christian Research Institute and Equip.org say less than 3% of Americans are Gay. They use that statistic to argue against human rights for homosexuals. I have a few statistics of my own: Roughly 1% of my extended family is gay, though I suspect it might be higher based on some family reunions. About 30% of my friends are gay. 85% of everyone I know could give a damn if someone is gay. Most of those don’t care whether someone else is straight! Approximately 99% of Christians at CRI are dicks, which seems rather gay to me. 1% are just there for the insurance. And for those who use statistics to support their bigotry against the private lives and rights of others, 100% bug the sh#% out of me. So much for statistics…
