Illinois Policy Institute Folds

This week Illinois Koch brother puppet in chief, Bruce Rauner declared war on working families by attacking unions within days of taking office. Clearly bereft of concrete ideas on closing the budget gap, such as ending more than $3.5 billion in annual subsidies and tax forgiveness to corporations, like Republican plutocrats Scott Walker, Rick Schneider and others Rauner will drop that heavy burden on the backs of working families. Unions are rendered in Rauner’s fantasy as the proverbial boogieman as a means of concealing the true culprit; company bought politicians that allow their corporate owners to bilk states and communities of billions in tax breaks, giveaways and tax delinquency.

Today I spoke with representatives from the Illinois Policy Institute, with a cordial invitation to defend what can only be described as blatant anti-working family propaganda. they appear regularly on rightwing talk shows, but after hearing the strength of our position, and being assured that they would have to indeed defend their positions and screes in the face of absolute facts, they bowed out of debating us.

This on the eve of what is shaping up to be an epic battle between corporation-owned politicians and struggling Illinois workers and their families. The line in the sand is being drawn. Already unions have been assailed with corporate sponsored and written legislation stealing pensions, freezing or reversing pay increases that often do not keep pace with inflation and then eliminating or cutting the social safety net protecting workers and their families from losing everything. The right’s propaganda wings in the media and the Illinois Policy Institute openly lie or twist facts to make their anti-family case.

So, the media organization funded in part by the Koch brothers, according to a report below is the greedy gloved hand manipulating Gov. Bruce Rauner. They are safe among their co-conspirators in attacking your children, your family and threatening your future in a bid to deliver Illinois to the republicans in 2016 and to enriched themselves. They refuse to engage us in actual debate, so we’ll shine the light of day on them. There ultra-elitist refusal to engage this issue only shows their disdain for Illinois families
