Bugs attacked our precious Tomatoes, we discovered this morning. Gardeners and experts will tell you how to prevent bugs from attacking your pretty and innocent Tomatoes; the blame the bugs for being bugs crowd again! Instead, I blame the Tomato for looking all plump, juicy and attractive. All dolled up like that, who could blame a bug, huh? So, to protect my Tomatoes and not tempt the bugs we have chopped back all the leaves, hidden the plant in the kitchen and covered the plant with a dark cloth, just in case a wily bug might get a look. Somehow the plants never grow to their proper splendor and fulfillment, and we don’t have those nurturing and beautiful Tomatoes any longer, but thank God we’ve protected the bugs!
